“The Capote Perplex: An Open Letter from Norman Mailer.” Rolling Stone, 19 July, 8. Mailer reprises a 1958 Open End television program with David Susskind (host), Truman Capote and Dorothy Parker, and his later conversations about the show with Capote, recalled to counter Capote’s memories of the show given in a 12 April Rolling Stone interview.
