“Mailer Offers Views on ‘Amateur’ Movie.” Article by Janet Piorko and Mimi Boudart. Review (University of Delaware), 22 February, 1, 10. Mailer said that the film’s impetus came from the assassination of Robert Kennedy. The event “hit deep . . . in a way which is almost impossible to describe now.”
