Rpt: Appearing just after the novel, this excerpt deals with Menenhetet’s relationship with Nefertiri, and is taken from the second half of book 5, “The Book of Queens,” beginning at the end of chapter 9, skipping 10, and running through chapter 14, with many excisions and small changes. It is the second of two Playboy installments which together cover most of book 5.
