See also Abbott’s response to his conviction, a book (with Naomi West) titled My Return (Buffalo, N.Y.: Prometheus, 1987), which consists of a play about the killing of Richard Adan, several appendices of self-justification and letters to Mailer, Lionel Abel, Robert B. Silvers, William Styron, Jerzy Kosinski and others.
