Letter to the editor. Hollywood Reporter, 3 January, 3. Mailer responds to comments made by Germaine Greer in her 7 December review of 79.14. He stresses that her implication that the book was “spliced” together largely through the efforts of others is false, and that Larry Schiller, far from being a “super ghoul,” was “a powerful asset” who did half the interviews for the book.
