“Norman Mailer Lets Film Do the Talking at Brown.” Article-interview by Lee Dykas. Providence Journal, 17 April. Answering questions after the showing of a documentary film profiling him, Mailer was asked to name his most important work. He said that Ancient Evenings (83.18) “can stand alone,” adding that it was the first volume of a trilogy, but it may be lonely because “I may not write the other two.”
