“Mailer Gives Sneak Peek at New Book.” Article by Andrea Ahles. Daily Pennsylvanian, 23 March, 1, 7. Brief report on Mailer’s 22 March reading at University of Pennsylvania’s Harrison Auditorium, one of a series of events included in his 20–23 March visit to the campus. Mailer gave his first reading from Oswald’s Tale: An American Mystery (95.16). In response to a question about his conclusions as to Oswald’s complicity in J.F.K.’s assassination, he said, “He was perfectly capable of committing the crime alone.
