“For a Draft of Reality, It’s Mailer Time.” Article-interview by Louise Continelli. Buffalo News, 11 June, Sec. E (“Lifestyles”), pp. 1–2. Based on the same telephone interview as 95.25, this piece gives more space to Mailer’s comments comparing Oswald to Timothy McVeigh. He says,
| “ | There’s a tendency to ignore the depth of commitment in evil people. For instance, President Clinton spoke of the bombing of Oklahoma City as a cowardly, evil act. Well, it seems to me that it was certainly an evil act. But it does take a kind of guts, finally, just to drive with that much explosives in the back of your car. | ” |
