For the first time I come to believe that [[w:Charles Laughton|Laughton]] may make a great picture out of ''[[The Naked and the Dead|Naked]]''. It won’t be the book, it will be on the cliché—parable spectrum, but it can be tremendous. And I don’t know whether to tell him I think this or not.

For the first time I come to believe that Laughton may make a great picture out of Naked. It won’t be the book; it will be on the cliché-parable spectrum, but it can be tremendous. And I don’t know whether to tell him I think this or not.
