Norman Mailer Society
Devoted to the Legacy of Norman Mailer
The Norman Mailer Society, a non-profit organization, was founded in 2003 to celebrate Norman Mailer, author of 40 books and the chronicler of the American Century. It has approximately 300 members and meets annually for three days for panels, papers, films and informal discussion about the life, work and reputation of the late Mr. Mailer.
Since 2003, the Norman Mailer Society has been dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the legacy of author Norman Mailer.
All people, professionals to enthusiasts, are encouraged to join the Norman Mailer Society and support our endeavors.
The Norman Mailer Society holds an annual conference. Activities include paper presentations, panel discussions, viewings of films, social events, and more.
The Robert F. Lucid Award for Mailer Studies was established in 2003 in recognition of Professor Lucid’s long and distinguished career as a Mailer scholar-critic.
