She holds a PhD in Editorial Studies from the Editorial Institute at Boston University, an MFA in Creative Writing from Wilkes University, and a BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design. Her doctoral dissertation, ''Norman Mailer’s Book of the Dead'', is a critical companion to ''Ancient Evenings'' that includes an annotated edition of “The Book of the Gods.” Her chapter "Sex and Sexuality" is included in ''Norman Mailer in Context'' (Cambridge University Press, 2021).
