Editors receive far too much credit when a journal is successful. Indeed, no serial publication could achieve respectability without the critical contributions of many individuals. However, there is often one person without whom an editor could not function. In my case, it is Mike Lennon, my friend and chief counselor — an Ur-editor with a stunning depth of experience and a bottomless reservoir of ideas, energy, and factual assistance.
