To understand a neurotic one would approach it better if one saw neurotic symptoms as malfunctions of Taking, Making, Giving, or Entering processes, or in the Rests between each. Entering for example is enormously important—it is communication whether we discuss productive techniques, sports, music, the universe or the person. But to grasp it we must not ignore the echo. So:

Take—Rest—Make—Rest—Give—Rest—Enter—Rest—Take—etc.
give—activation—Destroy—activ—take—acti—leave—acti—give—etc.

In other words, as we give with a part of ourselves, we take with another part; as we make with a part of ourselves, we destroy with another part, as we rest, so we are active, as we allow the outside to enter, so we allow something inside to leave.
