Jonathan Middlebrook

Jonathan Middlebrook is Emeritus Professor of English at San Francisco State University, author of Mailer and the Times of His Time (San Francisco, 1976), some journalism, and several staid critical essays. He hopes his five notes will invite younger readers (especially) into vigorous wrestling with Mailer’s voluminous work, reading it into the twenty-first-century canon.
