Talk:An American Dream Expanded/Timeline of Events, 1962–1966
@Grlucas: Please help me with two editing issues for Appendix III. First, breaking a long entry at the midpoint so that it is somewhat centered under the main heading & the year sub heading. And, making my new second line match the format of the first for which I used {{in5|60}}. Thanks.(Dmcgonagill (talk) 19:28, 2 April 2019 (UTC))
- @Dmcgonagill: Hm, that's too much, methinks. How about a table? Did you see another timeline you're using as a model? The problem with doing it this way is that you're formatting it for the width of your screen — make your width narrower and you'll see what I mean. It needs to be able to work on all-sized screens. Make sense? Here's another rule: no more
<div>
tags at all, please. In fact, no more HTML, OK? Use wiki formatting only. Thanks. 😁 —Grlucas (talk) 21:33, 2 April 2019 (UTC) - @Grlucas: Using Norman_Mailer:_Important_Dates as an example. Please see the first line & tell me if that is better. Thanks.(Dmcgonagill (talk) 11:46, 3 April 2019 (UTC))
- @Dmcgonagill: Maybe something like the Timeline of historical geopolitical changes might be better? (Headers should not be bolded.) —Grlucas (talk) 11:56, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
- @Grlucas: Ok. Done. This was a lot of work but I think it looks sharp. Please advise on further editing.(Dmcgonagill (talk) 19:40, 3 April 2019 (UTC))
