Hatred is the defense against taking what is valid for oneself in the enemy. Which is why liblabs loathe McCarthy. The one valid thing he has to offer, a disrespect for the over-elaborated forms of reason, and an animal desire to get to the heart of the mystery which endangers one, is perhaps the thing which most highly socialized liberals and radicals are terrified of in him.
