The poor drawing (the drawing faulty in perspective or execution) actually shows one of the many ways in which we see things. Thus, the hotel drawing shown here is nominally bad because the hotel seems to float in the air, but I wonder if a part of ourselves does not look at buildings built on street islands and see them as literally floating in air, and if indeed islands in general, do not have this quality of appearing suspended.
