{{reply to |Grlucas}} I seem to have a better handle on everything today (finally!). I think I have corrected the citations, except for two of which I have not been able to figure out how to add the second set of pages. Please review what I have done and let me know if I am on track and how to fix the page errors for Adams and Jung. Thank you for being so patient with me while I figure out what I am supposed to be working on.--[[User:Dillbug|Dillbug]] ([[User talk:Dillbug|talk]]) 16:03, 7 April 2019 (UTC)

:{{reply to|Dillbug}} Good deal. It just takes practice and persistence. For the citations: there are extra numbers at the end of three that seems to be page numbers. Check those. Also, remove the quotation marks in titles. You see they are unnecessary as the software will insert them if they are needed. All citations, too, must have “|ref=harv” in them in order for the shortened footnote form to work. Finally, you need to see to the odd Mailer reference (e.g., <code><nowiki>Mailer & 1964-65, p. 83.</nowiki></code>) that is used a lot but (1) doesn't have a corresponding entry in works cited, and (2) uses a span of dates which will not work with sfn. I assume this is ''AAD''? If so, it just needs to be 1965, as that's when it was published. —[[User:Grlucas|Grlucas]] ([[User talk:Grlucas|talk]]) 19:17, 7 April 2019 (UTC)
::{{reply to|Grlucas}} I think I fixed the entry for <code><nowiki>Mailer & 1964-65, p. 83</nowiki></code>, added /|ref harv to all of the citations, and I don't have a clue how to include the second set of dates. I've tried using section-date, work-date, etc. That is why I asked you how to include them in the references requiring two dates.--[[User:Dillbug|Dillbug]] ([[User talk:Dillbug|talk]]) 02:07, 8 April 2019 (UTC)
:::{{reply to|Dillbug}} I have hopefully fixed these issues. Please have a look for any more typos, etc., and I think we'll be ready to post. Thank you for your diligence and hard work. Oh, and we still need to fill in the permissions statement at the beginning. Where is this from? Did the author give you any idea? Thanks. —[[User:Grlucas|Grlucas]] ([[User talk:Grlucas|talk]]) 11:45, 8 April 2019 (UTC)
::::reply to|Grlucas}} I have made the corrections to typos (have no idea how they happened). I emailed Dr. Hampton and asked her for information about her essay. I am awaiting a response and will fill in the permissions statement upon her reply. This was a monstrous essay to edit! I am so glad it is almost ready to transfer.--[[User:Dillbug|Dillbug]] ([[User talk:Dillbug|talk]]) 23:55, 8 April 2019 (UTC)
{{reply to|Grlucas}} According to Dr. Hampton, she wrote the essay for MA. She had the option to take an exam and write an extended paper. Mike Lennon directed it. He is Mailer's archivist. Should I post this information as part of the permissions statement?--[[User:Dillbug|Dillbug]] ([[User talk:Dillbug|talk]]) 16:05, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
::{{reply to|Dillbug}} Sure, something like “written for a graduate course with J. Michael Lennon,” or something similar. —[[User:Grlucas|Grlucas]] ([[User talk:Grlucas|talk]]) 16:41, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
:::{{reply to|Grlucas}} I have made all the changes recommended (I am crossing my fingers) and I think the essay is finally ready to be moved.--[[User:Dillbug|Dillbug]] ([[User talk:Dillbug|talk]]) 23:25, 10 April 2019 (UTC)
::::{{reply to|Dillbug}} Did she mention on what date she wrote it? There's no date on the ms. I assume it's the mid-nineties at Wilkes University. —[[User:Grlucas|Grlucas]] ([[User talk:Grlucas|talk]]) 11:15, 11 April 2019 (UTC)
{{reply to|Grlucas}} I will email her again and ask.--[[User:Dillbug|Dillbug]] ([[User talk:Dillbug|talk]]) 12:52, 11 April 2019 (UTC)
