He jogs feintingly
crossing his right hard,
surpassing the park walkers
whose eyes he dodges:
his head bobs a blur
inside the hood’s dark,
hands fluttering high
masking non-stoppingly,
battling spirits in air,
part defeated, part actor,
dancing what we must know is
shaking his heart at the world,
muscling his song.
