Dear Bob,

Just a note to tell you how good I think our evening in Philadelphia was. It was really very good for me and I want you to know what a friend I think you are. I won’t say more now because I’m going blind getting The Deer Park ready for the printer and I’m typing this out in a hurry.

Right now it looks like I’ll be in California around the 1st of June, so schedules look contradictory, eh Bobbo? Let me hear what your schedule is—as I remember it was May 9th.
