Richard Schreck has published in the areas of linguistics and computer-assisted learning in academic and professional journals and served as editor for the TESOL Newsletter. He has taught and held administrative posts at several universities. He has worked internationally, in Africa, Asia and the Middle East, directed the delivery of the first online university course in central Siberia, and later held the position as vice president of an online learning corporation. He has led teams developing applications for trainable neural network and computational linguistics systems. The novel Brain Game draws from his experiences in these fields. He is a member of the Maryland Writers’ Association and the Writer’s Center.
