Little confirmations of 282. Everybody complains that the youth in college are less iconoclastic today, and more conformist. (Only Max Lerner likes their calm judicious appraisal of the job as a marriage, and marriage as a job.) But, of course. The talented adolescents today sheer away from experts and go toward hipsterism. Colleges are frightening to them because colleges have become factories to manufacture experts. Out of colleges the youth are less conformist.
