Er would be a far better word than id for H. But notice what society has done. To err is to be wrong. The state of existence, the passive taking ehhhhh and the active locating changing rrrrrr are denied, called bad. So to change id to er would be to change the bad qualities of id (I-death) (And Freud knew English) to the bad social qualities of er (taking-giving-being, wanting, desire, etc. is to err, to be bad).
