“Mailer: ‘I Don’t Think About It,” Article by Normand Poirier. New York Post, 31 January 1961. Brief report about Mailer learning of his indictment for felonious assault from a reporter. He would not comment on his case, but when asked if it was affecting his writing, he said, “I really couldn’t say if this is affecting the writing. I don’t think about it—except on certain days.”
