Kevin Power is the author of a novel, Bad Day in Blackrock (Simon & Schuster UK, 2010), which won the Rooney Prize for Irish Literature in 2009 and was filmed as What Richard Did (Element Films, dir. Lenny Abrahamson) in 2012. His doctoral dissertation, on the politics of growth in the fiction and nonfiction of Norman Mailer, was completed at University College Dublin in 2014. He writes regularly for a range of publications, including The Sunday Business Post (Ireland), Literary Review, and Strange Horizons. He teaches in the School of English at Dublin City University.
