Jerome Loving

Jerome Loving is Distinguished Professor of English at Texas A&M University. A recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, he is the author of numerous books and articles, including biographies of Walt Whitman, Theodore Dreiser, and Mark Twain. His most recent book is Confederate Bushwhacker: Mark Twain in the Shadow of the Civil War (2013). He is currently at work on a book about Norman Mailer, Jack Henry Abbott, and The Executioner’s Song.
