Fact and fiction in 91.26 is the heart of this interview, conducted in Provincetown, in mid-July, with additional comment on epistolary and epistemological aspects of the novel: “[Henry] James frightened me forever with his dictum that one must never put information into a novel unless it is digested through the lens of a protagonist’s perceptions.”
