NORMAN MAILER’s Letters
142 Columbia Heights
Brooklyn 1, New York
June 8, 1965

Dear Jack,

This is just a line, not a proper letter, to tell you that we’ll be up in Provincetown by the time you get this letter. The phone number will be 1424, and our address is 607 Commercial Street. My plans are simple. I’m going to work Monday to Friday and have fun on weekends. So feel ready to come any weekend at all. With a little warning we’re bound to have an extra room.

Best and best,
Norman

P.S. I was not happy with the cuts William Phillips made, they broke the cadence of your style. So I called him up in a huff and he’s going to reprint your piece in toto in the next issue.
