He edits five book series for Rowman &amp;amp; Littlefield, including “Contemporary American Literature” and “The Cultural History of Television.” Among his books are &amp;#039;&amp;#039;John Updike: A Critical Biography&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (2013) and &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Gatsby: The Cultural History of the Great American Novel&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (2014). He is the founding editor of the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Popular Culture Studies Journal&amp;#039;&amp;#039; and a member of the editorial advisory board of &amp;#039;&amp;#039;The Journal of Popular Culture&amp;#039;&amp;#039;. Batchelor also serves as director of marketing &amp;amp; media for The John Updike Childhood Home Museum in Reading, PA. &lt;br /&gt;
