Account of the 20 November dinner ceremony at which [[Norman Mailer|Mailer]] received Lord and Taylor’s annual Rose Award for public accomplishment. Mailer is quoted as saying that he had been talking to his wife earlier and “said to her how nice it was that Lord &amp;amp; Taylor is honoring me on my 60th birthday. She smiled at me and said, ‘You’re 62, and it’s not your birthday.’ ”&lt;br /&gt;
