“[https://www.denverpost.com/2007/01/25/norman-mailer-tackles-hitlers-youth/ Norman Mailer Tackles Hitler’s Youth].” Article-interview by Dylan Foley. ''Denver Post'', 28 January. Interviewed in Provincetown, {{NM}} says, “Hitler has always been very real to me and frightening. There is a part of me that has concentrated on Hitler my whole life. I wasn’t that surprised when I started writing about him.” He adds that in writing his novel, “It occurred to me that there was a bureaucracy to Satan. The Devils are working all the time.” He also states that “if Jesus was born as God’s son, I would go so far as to say that Hitler was born as the Devil’s son.”
